Home Town come good

I grew up in New Zealand in a district called the Wairarapa, in a little town called Featherston. My parents have since moved to Martinborough, a boutique wine village, which is rather pretty, very popular and a wee bit fabulous. Featherston, however is not really any of these things; it is more known as the first Wairarapa town you come to after going over the hill (read mountain range road) from Wellington and it does a decent ice cream worth stopping for; but not alot else. So I was very surprised to see, in my current real estate stalking, as I am want to do, this very well decorated cottage for sale. Its not life changing or an especially spectacular interior compared to what you would see in a magazine, but for a real house in Featherston to have this level of sophistication and design understanding is something of a mile stone. Well done - home town come good.
