Out of Africa

I have long adored the relaxed elegance of Karen Blixen's house in one of my hands down favourite films of all time.

The Dining Room

The gorgeous feminine bedroom

I adored that movie, being a huge Streep and Redford fan!! And oh, I dreamed of living there and wearing beige safari gear every day. That is my summer clothing palette to a T. Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful film and the wonderful look of Redford in a crisp white shirt and beige pants. Meryl is beautiful too!

I completely agree. Had a major crush on Robert Redford back in the day the film came out.. :) and am a huge fan of both Karen Blixen and Meryl Streep.

That cup of tea with Felicity (the character) is so funny. Love her take on men!

Divine colonial interiors too!

Thanks for reminding me I will now have to force my huz to watch the film again and perhaps hang a chandelier in our back yard and crank up the Mozart!
